Windows 10: CREATE DESKTOP SHORTCUT TO WEB SITE

WHO AN WHY WAS THIS CHANGE MAID

IN IE-11 WHEN ON A WEBSITE NEED TO MAKE SHORTCUT
RIGHT CLICK AND SELECT CREATE SHORTCUT
REAL EASY AND SIMPLE TO DO.

NOW IN EDGE SAME THING RIGHT CLICK NOT THEIR
HIGHT LIGHT SITE LOCATION MINIMIZE SCREEN
RIGHT CLICK ON DESKTOP SELECT CREATE SHORTCUT
PATCH LOCATION IN THEN GIVE IT A NAME
THEN FULL SCREEN TO GET WHERE YOU WERE.

WOW THAT WAS ALOT EASIER THAN IT WAS IN IE-11

WHO THOUGH OF THIS CHANGE ?

HOW DO I GET IE-11 RIGHT CLICK MENU IN EDGE

Adding shortcut to desktop from web page

Hi,

Please let us know, which browser are you using to do so?

Follow the steps below to create shortcuts of websites on the Desktop:

• When you are viewing a website, right click on the web page and select the Create Shortcut option. The shortcut will be placed on the Desktop.
• You can also right click the Desktop and select New/Shortcut. In the Location Box, paste the URL to the website.
• Click Next and Name the shortcut and Click Finish.
• You can also drag the Icon at the left end of the Address Bar and drop it on the Desktop, when viewing a website to create a shortcut.

Create Ethernet adapter shortcut on the desktop.

To create the Ethernet shortcut on your desktop, you can follow the step provided below.



Step: Create Ethernet shortcut on the desktop.

1. Press Windows + R key on your keyboard together.
   
2. Type in ncpa.cpl
   and hit enter.
   
3. You will see all your network adapter.
   
4. Right click on your desired adapter and click on
   Create Shortcut and allow the prompt.
   
5. Or you can drag and drop the network adapter on the desktop that will create a shortcut too.
   
6. You can now right on the shortcut on your desktop and disable and enable internet connection.

How to save a web site as a shortcut on my Desktop with Windows 10

I would suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Select the link which you want to create as shortcut.
• “Right click” on the desktop screen.
• Select the option “New”.
• Click on “shortcut”.
• Paste the link in the “search bar”.
• Click on “Next”.
• “Enter the name” for the shortcut.
• Click on the “finish”.
