have to create a "light" Windows 10 for a virtualized desktop infrastructure project. Did that before - with DISM - for rollout on fat clients using 1903.

DISM is... let me say that carefully... "uncomfortable". Only other way I know is "NTLite". Any other ideas? Experience? Back then with DISM and scripts for 1903 I couldn't for example remove Cortana. I know some people did with the notorious "win 10 lite" builds you can download. For a high security corporate environment I'll obviously have to base my built on a "stock" iso. NTLite being the only way besides DISM? And NTLite can do some tricks I wasn't able to do? In a virtual environment I obviously wanna save CPU/RAM as much as I can. People will connect via normal RDP and we don't need fancy stuff like cameras, microphones, audio, touchscreen and whatever. Performance will be king. Ideas? Comments? Calling me names?

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

  3. Ugly Aero Lite appearance in Windows 10

    Hi Jayden,

As you are facing issues with the battery consumption I suggest you to turn on the power saver which saves the energy of the device.

Follow the below methods for the same.

    Method 1:

    • Press Windows + R for Run.
    • Type Control and then Enter.
    • Click on the Power options and then click on the Power Saver.

Method 2: If the above method doesn’t help, I would suggest you to create a new power plan and check. Follow the steps.

    • Press Windows + R for Run.
    • Type Control and then Enter. Select the Power options.
    • In the navigation pane, select “create a new power plan”.
    • Follow the onscreen instruction to create a power plan and check.

Hope the information helps. Do reply if you need further assistance.
