Windows 10: Creating a CD

Hello I cannot find a category for Windows Media, so I am just posting it here. Am I correct in saying that to create and burn a music CD in Windows Media Player only allows me to play that CD in a Windows environment? If so, how would I create a CD whereby I can play it in a CD player in a car or in a portable player, please? Also, I do not want to have to press the Play button each time a track finished in order to listen to the next one. The tracks should run concurrently. Thanks!

Burning photos to a CD Disc

"We suggest that you use Windows Media Player to burn the images. Please follow the steps below:

1. Open Windows Media Player.
2. In the Player Library > Burn tab > select Burn options.
3. Choose Audio CD or Data CD or DVD.
4. Insert a blank disc into your CD or DVD burner. (Select the drive you want to use if your PC has more than one CD or DVD drive)
5. Search for the items in your Player Library that you want to burn to the disc, and then drag them to the list pane (on the right side of the Player Library) to create a burn list.
6. When you're finished with the list, select Start burn.

Note: If necessary, click the Clear list button to remove all items from the previous burn list."

While I can view the photos I want to burn to a CD in the Photos App, I can not view all of them in the File Explorer Pictures Library. Windows Media Player is using the File Explorer Pictures Library.

Your steps in post #1 should work for 99% of viruses that may be on a usb flash drive. However, there are a very few viruses that can infect the MBR of a drive. I would use Diskpart from a command prompt (Admin) to clean them. In the command prompt type DISKPART then, at the Diskpart prompt use the commands:

LIST DISKnote the disk number of the usb and use it in place of # in the command:SELECT DISK #
CLEAN
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY

After this you will have cleaned the partition table from the usb and created a partition using the whole of the the available space. You can then format this partition in File Explorer.


For a CD-RW, if you right-click on it in File Explorer there is an Erase option.

We suggest that you perform these steps and check if the issue persists:

• Press "Windows" + "E" button on the keyboard.
• Go to "View > Navigation pane" and select "Show libraries".
• Now in the navigation pane, right-click on the "Music" library under "Libraries" and select "Delete".
• Now right-click on the "Libraries" and select "Restore default libraries".
• Now try to rip.
