Windows 10: Creating repair\boot disk

Discus and support Creating repair\boot disk in Windows 10 BSOD Crashes and Debugging to solve the problem; I lost my boot disk and am trying to create a new one on this Dell computer to transfer to my Lenova.     Creating repair\boot disk


    I lost my boot disk and am trying to create a new one on this Dell computer to transfer to my Lenova.

    Suggestions?

    system repair disk

    Both the computers would have USB ports so I suggest you to create a Recovery drive instead of Repair disk. Here are the steps:

    One Recovery drive would work on both the computers.

    You might have to disable Fast boot/Secure boot to boot from the recovery drive if you need to. Consult the PC manufacturer on how to do it.

    Windows 10: problem creating a system repair disk

    Files written to the disk:

    • Boot folder
    • EFI folder
    • Sources Folder
    • bootmgr file
    • bootmgr.efi file
    Files Ready to Be Written to the Disc:

    • desktop(.ini)
    So I cant complete and create repair disk

    Any ideas what the problem could be? What I am doing wrong?

    I tried following command sfc /scannow.

    Windows 10 "Create a system repair disk" will not boot

    I have the same problem with my latest computer that I built with an ASUSZ97 motherboard that boots with EFI Bios. I tried 2 different CD manufacturers several times. I finally tried the repair disks that I created on my older ASUS P8P67 MB that I handed
    down to my wife and it boots perfectly. Even the repair disk that I created on my Toshiba laptop will boot the ASUSZ97. While my problem was solved, it was definitely bothering me but now that you have explained the reason, I can let it go (not to mention
    I now have at least 8 bootable Windows Repair disks that can work on the ASUSZ97). Thanks!!
