Creating system image after hard drive replaced? Windows 10

I have a hard drive that is failing. I backed up my files, created a system image, and a restore USB drive. However, when I went to create the system repair disc, the printer installation disc that was already in the drive prompted my computer to try to finish installing the printer. I tried to search everywhere I could think of within the computer Windows 10 for creating a system repair disc, but no luck. Eventually, I figured that maybe the system restore drive and the system repair disc were the same thing. I subsequently had the old hard drive switched out.

Now, I can't load my backed up system image or the system restore USB drive since I have no system repair disc.

    Options that I'm considering:

    1. reinstalling the old hard drive and creating a system image.

    2. scrubbing the computer to reinstall everything and seeing if I can somehow repair things afterward not sure if this works

    3. Any of your recommendations.

    Thanks!

    :)

Replacing old hard drive, need way to copy Windows installation across

    Hey Guys,
What would be the best way of copying/imaging the entire contents of an old system drive over to a replacement hard disk for the same machine? I need to copy the Windows installations and all other data to the new drive, and then format the old drive to use as a backup.

Any suggestions? *Smile Creating system image after hard drive replaced? Windows 10 :)

Reinstalling Win 10 to a replacement hard drive

I have an HP Pavilon desktop which I upgraded to WIN 10 from WIN 7. The hard drive is starting to fail with a BIOHD-8 error. Before the drive fails I would like to create a set of restore or recovery disks so I can buy a new one terabyte drive to replace
the current 750 gig drive and reinstall the current version of Win 10. Will creating an ISO disk image work if I used a one terabyte external USB to create the image and then replaced the drive and copied the image back? I'd like to use a set of DVD to create
an image or recovery drive so I wouldn't have to "waste" the external Hard drive. The steps in Control panel create a Windows System Repair Disk and a System Image but it says its for WIN 7. What am I missing? Seems that the system image created for DVDs (64
bit) would occupy 14.37 gig or four DVDs.

    Help

    Creating a System Image

I am creating a Win 10 system image of my laptop and saving it to an external hard drive. My laptop hard drive is showing signs that it needs to be replaced soon. Will I be able to restore the saved system image onto a newly installed hard drive?
