  1. Credential Manager clearing all passwords at restart

I have a new windows 10 PC I recently setup for a client of mine. It appears every time the PC restarts all credentials generic or windows are cleared from credential manager This is affecting Outlook 2019, network shares and most recently carbonite backup. I originally had checked off remember my password when setting up accounts. I have also tried manually entering credentials for each in credential manager, they still clear. Everything appears to be checked off correctly for storing passwords in the various dialog's I've found within the settings for outlook. The email accounts being used are both POP3 accounts, and the shares being accessed are on another windows 10 PC.

What else can I do to fix this?

    :)

  2. Cannot clear network access credentials

    OS: Windows 10 x64

I access a network server using a username + password. I'd like to use another username+password, but I cannot clear the old credentials. What I've done until now:

    1. there was nothing to delete in Windows credentials (Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Credential Manager)
    2. net use * /del
    3. klist purge
    4. restart explorer
    5. restart PC
    6. changed the password on the server, and saving NEW credentials on the PC. When I reverted back to original server password, the PC connected automatically (this makes me think that those credentials were saved somewhere, but I don't know where).

    Managing Credentials with no password

I am referring to the CREDENTIAL MANAGER - which, as I am logged in to my laptop - with NO user name / password (I chose to bypass this at build) - doesn't let me view MY OWN list of passwords !!!

How do I view MY OWN password list ?

Also - why was the response above - marked as THE ANSWER ?

It was NOT the answer and I feel that in assuming that it was the answer is PRESUMPTUOUS !!

    I have removed this assumption....

    Managing Credentials with no password

    Hello,

Thank you for bringing up your query on Microsoft Community.

    • What are you referring to? When you say “using no user account and therefore no password ?”
You can use Credential Manager to store credentials, such as user names and passwords that you use to log on to websites or other computers on a network.

    To access Windows Credentials follow:

    Control Panel >
    All Control Panel Items
    > Credential Manager.

Kindly let us know if you need any further assistance. We are happy to assist you.
