    So a weird problem occurred to me today. Cool story: I accidentally pressed "Restart" in start menu, then, after restarting, I shut down the PC on login screen by clicking "Shut down" there.

    Next time I turned my computer on - THIS happened. It's in Russian, but it says exactly what is in this post's title. "Ok", thought I and re-logged into my system. The same problem. I decided to do both soft and hard reset - no result. I tried booting into safe mode or creating a new account - no result. I tried a PowerShell solution, it didn't work. The infamous sfc/scannow and DISM fixes didn't help.

    The Start menu troubleshooter says:


    Required applications are not installed correctly. "Microsoft.Windows.ShellExperienceHost" and "Microsoft.Windows.Cortana" applications need to be installed correctly.

    Hence why I tried the PowerShell solution in the first place.

    As you can probably imagine, I'm desperate. I don't want to restore the OS and lose data, but it seems like the only solution. Any suggestions on other fixes?

    OS: Windows 10 version 2004 build 19041.329

    I went to dell support and followed the steps mentioned in the URL below. However issue still there

    Also this PowerShell command has not helped ?
