Windows 10: Critical process died. Restoring fails. Unable to Reset. Unable to start in safe mode

My system is running on win 10 build 1909 with GTX 1050Ti card. From yesterday, the system started crashing often, I thought it will be some graphics driver issue and I reinstalled it. Still it was crashing and after that the BSOD screen with error "Critical process died" came.


After that windows is not loading and even the automatic repair too.

The last thing to do is to reinstall windows which I was trying to do, but the system gets stuck on the boot options screen.

When a critical component of Windows detects an unauthorized modification to its data, it immediately steps in, causing the Critical Process Died error to happen. Since you're unable to perform safe mode, we suggest trying some of the troubleshooting below
and check if it makes any difference:

Method 1: Perform Clean Boot on Windows 10

1. From Start, search for msconfig.

2. Select System Configuration from the search results.

3. On the Services tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then tap or click Disable all.

4. On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click Open Task Manager.

5. On the Startup tab in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then click Disable.

6. Close Task Manager.

7. On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click OK, and then restart the computer.

Method 2: Update Drivers

Some hardware manufacturers offer handy software utilities that take care of driver updates for you, but most leave this critical procedure up to users.

When you purchase a new device, go straight to the official website of the manufacturer and download the latest drivers of the support page. Avoid beta drivers as well as unsigned drivers from hardware manufacturers with a shady reputation.

Unable to boot Windows 10 - Critical Process Died

Hey guys,

I am unable to boot at the moment, with the error code ''Critical Process Died'' being displayed. The system attempts to auto-repair without success. I have tried a number of things so far, these include:

- Rebooting in safe mode (received the same error code)

- Running sfc /scannow (no errors detected)

- Running dism (no errors detected)

- System restore (unable to restore)

- Running an anti-virus scan on the affected drive from another drive (no viruses found)

None of these resolved the issue for me.

This is really putting me in a bind, so any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

 

Critical Process Died

I have a Dell laptop, I tried to install bigger memory today and once I had shutdown the computer and installed the memory and restarted the laptop i got the BSOD with the error Critical Process Died I then thought it might be the memory so I shutdown
and installed the original memory again and started the computer and again got the same error. I am unable to boot into windows and im unable to boot into safe mode. Please help
