  1. Ctrl+C by mouse button in new Edge PDF reader

I use Microsoft Precision mouse and leverage its capabilities with MS Mouse and Keyboard Center.

For the Thumb forward and Thumb rear buttons I had set Copy Ctrl+C and Paste Ctrl+V correspondently. These operations are more frequently used and the buttons works fine in any program and they were working in the previous Edge browser and Edge PDF reader. However, the new Edge which I have switched to also offers similar built in PDF reader but my “Copy” mouse button” doesn’t copy anything form any PDF documents opened in Edge. Old value stays in the clipboard. Interesting to note that content is also not copied from the PDF viewer in Chrome.

What can be the root cause of such exotic problem and whom to address it to?

I have the latest updates for OS any app in please.

    :)

How do I disable the useless Edge PDF Reader???

I find Edge quite nice with PDF files. Fast and easy zoom with CTRL + mouse wheel and so on. In screenshot a PDF document in Edge zoomed to 20%:

  3. PDF reader

I have windows 10. I received a PDF file that I can not open. Left click produces a blank page. Right click produces Open in a new tab, open in a new window, open in a new private window, save as target, copy link. add to reading list, ask bing ....
and inspect element. I can not find the PDF reader that is part of windows 10. I have tried all of the suggestions that I have found and not success. I also install a PDF reader and a message said that it was reset to edge ....

    What must I do.

    Viewing PDF files in Edge

Microsoft in Edge as of yet (10/8/15) does not support Browser Plug-Ins/Add-Ins. It does have a built in document reader that opens pdf links in a very basic format, and not in the OS file extension associated app (eg Adobe Acrobat, or Adobe Reader). Many
basic functions are missing in the Edge pdf viewer. Note that one can Zoom the screen in Edge by holding CTRL and scrolling the center mouse button, or by holding CTRL and pressing the + or - keys.

It us unbelievable that Microsoft would introduce a new Browser that does not allow one to elect to open links in the native application.

For Adobe users, please make a feature request at: Feature Request/Bug Report Form

I have found Adobe to be much more responsive than Microsoft.
