Windows 10: Cumulative Update Error 0x80070002

Hello,


I've been having trouble with the cumulative updates for a few months and have ignored it until now.


When I go into update and security I get a notification saying "There were problems installing some updates, but we'll try again later. 2020-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems KB4528760 -Error 0x80070002" The same error has been appearing for the past few months when trying to install to the latest cumulative update.


I have retried many times, checked the date and time settings, and have tried the method stopping windows update and cleaning the disk, and have also tried downloading the update from the Microsoft Update Catalog. I've looked at other posts with similar problems but none of the solutions seem to work.


Please let me know what else I can try to get the update installed

Error 0x80070002 when trying to update Windows

I have been having issues for months with Windows 10 updates failing due to Error 0x80070002 on my gaming laptop. The full message reads:

2019-06 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4503286) -Error 0x80070002.

I am currently on version 1803 (OS Build 17134.590) and I'm being told "You're currently running a version of windows that's nearing the end of support. We recommend you update to the most recent version of Windows 10 now to get the latest features and security improvements."

I have followed the instructions on Error Code 0x80070002 Fixed – Eassos Step-by-Step Tutorial but this hasn't resolved the problem. Does anybody know how to fix this?
