Windows 10: Cumulative update for Autopilot in Windows 10, versions 1903 and 1909: December 10, 2019

The Autopilot update keeps installing itself when checking for Windows Updates. Has installed 4 times now on my machine.

Windows Updates Cumulative Update version 1903 and the Featured Update version 1909 both fail

I have tried to install both the Cumulative Update version 1903 and the Featured Update version 1909 and when they hit the 100% mark I get a message in install failed and the changes are being undone. After doing this the first time my printer does not
work and I've deleted it and reloaded and it still doesn't work.

I have tried six times to do the updates without success. When I view the update history it says the Featured Update version 1909 failed on 11/18/2019 and the Cumulative Update version 1903 was successfull on 11/18/2009. It than says the Featured
Update version 1909 was successfully updated on 11/18/2019 followed by the Cumulative Update version 1903 failed on 11/23/2009.

During the check for updates it continually loads the the Cumulative
Update version 1903.

When I look at the OS Build it shows Version 1903 installed on 10/12/2019 OS Build 18362.449

So, how do I get these updates to install or allow updates for everything else except Windows updates?

Plus get my printer to be recognized, I can still print documents using email.

 

October 8, 2019-KB4524100 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1903

Many thanks for your reply. I ran the script you provided and this had the effect of clearing my update history.

I then checked for new updates and none were found as of today.

I then attempted to manually install the update:-

2019-10 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64 (KB4524100)
Last Modified: 10/3/2019

But I then received a message from Windows Update Standalone Installer that Update for Windows (KB4515871) is already istalled on this computer.

There is a note on the web page for KB4524100 as below:-

Important

This update was previously released in the Cumulative Update that's dated September 24, 2019.

The date above seems to be wrong and I think should read September 26, 2019.

The update KB4515871 was issued on September 26 :-

• September 26, 2019 — KB4515871 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 version 1903 and Windows 10 version 1909

and appears to be already installed on my computer.

This would explain why KB4524100 failed to properly install in the past.

So I think that my problem has now been resolved - many thanks for your assistance.

 

2019-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903

Hello,

I just got my Surface Pro 7 and there is a Windows Update that keeps getting an Error Message below.

'2019-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4517389) - Error 0x80070002'

There is also an Optional Update Available, however this gets the same Error Message below.

'2019-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4522355) - Error 0x80070002'

Ive done the troubleshooting and restarted my Surface multiple times without success. Please help. I want to make sure my Surface is running as intended.
