Windows 10: Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 KB3124263

No, just says it needs to restart, and after the 4th time, I was able to log in. After 30 minutes online it when black screen and I was able to log in again. Its looks like is a bit buggy at the moment.

 

Is this the latest version? It became available to me early today. Downloaded & installed with no issues

 

No, the latest is 10586.63 but give another day or two and you will be on the latest one.

No problems here with the update. Restart went without a hitch.

 

This update refused to install on my laptop after downloading, the strange thing is the cumulative update (KB3124263) installed successfully (took around 4 tries) while the windows malicious removal tool (KB890830) didn't.

i am downloading the tool from microsoft now, well i have no clue why it didn't install

 

Don't worry about any updates not installing, windows will take care of it and when it's ready, it will update the necessary updates for your system.

I’ve now resolved my update-problems, by using the 'media creation tool´, to download and reinstall windows 10 (upgrade), and choosing to download all the updates, and I’m now on windows 10 1511 build 10586.63!

My Outlook 2016 has stopped receiving new mails as well. Has removing it worked for you?

 

Installed security update kb3124263 today and it wiped out my entire PC - files, default settings, other programs - everything! There isn't even a restore point available! Very weird and makes me want to switch to iOS!! Glad I have Carbonite so I can get all my files back but have to set up everything else that was wiped out, just like it's a brand new PC. My laptop is not that old and this should not have occurred! Lenovo Yoga 2

 

Well it seems you have forgotten the most important rule when it comes to computers: Backup, backup, backup. Create images of your system drive and you will never have to reinstall Windows again.
