Windows 10: Cumulative Update KB3124200 for Windows 10 Version 1511

I had same problem on one of my computers with no Bluetooth, but, try looking in your services and disable any links to Bluetooth, I had 3, some others only had 2 links.....then reboot. might work.

 

On my 2nd computer their is NO Bluetooth device even listed to remove, but windows doesn't care, still turned it on with no device even showing. lol That's why I told him to check services.

 

Although I should have picked that up in the other thread we discussed with Shawn, I didn't realize it was THAT messed up, Mike. If I didn't want the capability to occasionally actually use Bluetooth on this laptop of mine, I'd be doing whatever I could to put it all out of commission just to not have the dang button misbehaving. Oh well, sometimes you just have to tolerate a few warts and bumps I guess.

 

One thing i noticed is that the update deleted my windows.old file.

 

Now that you mention it, my windows.old folder is gone as well.
My SSD is 30GB richer!

Hmmm, mine is still showing. Maybe not quite 30 days since TH2 was installed perhaps. I don't think I got offered it straight away.

EDIT - actually it's been 35 days since TH2. Wonder why Windows hasn't freed it up, I know I can do disk clean up but curious why Windows isn't doing it. Does Windows need some idle time to do it? Got to admit in the past week the computer only gets turned on for twenty mins at a time just to check a few things.

 

Ok my Windows.old finally deleted. I left the computer alone for about 20 mins and when I got back it was gone and 15 gigs reclaimed, so it just needed some idle time.

 

Mine is Win10 and it is exactly what I ran. WindowsUpdateDiagnostic!

 

Thanks for the input. But I guess I'll just leave it. It's doesn't really bother me. Just noticed it and wondered why on earth Windows thinks my non-existent Bluetooth device is active.

 

Recovered to an earlier copy. Now it found downloaded and installed happily. Thanks folks. I will advise all Lenovo users to get and Install AOMEI recovery pronto, and create a recovery partition. OneKey as supplied by Lenovo does not work in Win10. The only thing missing is support for the Touchscreen.

 

I was hoping this might fix the wierdness I am seeing on my system and that of other folks who have upgraded. I have even deleted everything... reinstalled Windows 7, waited two days for all the stupid updates. Then installed via the Windows 10 ISO method to save on my bandwidth. It seems ok but then my network ICON shows a bang and it alternates between claiming internet access and no internet access. I am unable to use the EDGE browser ( no big loss there) nor the App Store ( ok now I'm not happy).. however.. I'm writing this from one of several similar computers.. All different upgrade situations and hardware. No commonality at all. Firefox and Chrome work great and I'm getting great speed. I'm going to show you my network adaptor properties for the curious.








I've contacted the wonder techs at Microsoft because well... it was polite. However after wasting a little over half an hour, the technician just bailed out. Pretty sure it was because she was clueless. I've saved all of the chat files to use in a web post later this week.

In any event. I am loath to move forward in suggesting anyone upgrade to Windows 10 unless I can find a solution. I will visit a friend tomorrow and download the update :
Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511: December 17, 2015 ,with a windows 7 system and see what happens. This is also occurring on a 6 year old HP system with a clean HP Factory install and then a Windows Refresh ( clean ? ) install. (Sorry I forgot what windows called it when I did it but I asked it to delete stuff) and a three year old system that had no issues and nothing done other than the upgrade.

Ideas ? Suggestions?

 

Realtek network works flawlessly, never a problem. I suspect that Intel drivers are bad (the ones MS supply). Did you try drivers straight from Intel ?
