  2. Windows 10 Anniversary Edition Upgrade Question

build 10586.456 is non-insiders using "RTM" version.

I ran the "windows update assistant" on one of my PC

8-1-2016 at 8pm and it says

thank you for upgrading to the latest version of windows

so new version 1607 not released to public just yet

    Insider fast ring on 07-29

Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3176927)

    Version 1607 (OS Build 14393.5)

    Insider fast ring on 08-01

Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3176929)

    Version 1607 (OS Build 14393.10)

    windows update assistant "Windows10Upgrade9252.exe"

says thank you for upgrading to the latest version of windows

Version 1607 (OS Build 14393.10) This version may be the one because

It let me "opt out" receiving preview builds.

Which you cant do that if we are not on a stable build.

    Windows 10 mobile Anniversary Update

What you mean is that I don't have to sign up for Widows Insider for that RS1 build 14393.5? Because I just did and its available for download, I also updated from Windows phone 8.1 to Windows 10 mobile update using upgrade advisor app I don't want to
download this RS1 1build 14393.5 as an Insider but since you mentioned it I can get this build even if My phone is still on TH2, so what can i do, must i delete the Windows Insider app? .

A very pleasant surprise! I left my computer running while I was busy doing something else. When I came back and moved my mouse my monitor woke up and showed a box telling me my computer needed to be restarted.

  7. Anybody logging in with a PIN? My logon method is being toggled back to Password with every one of these cumulative updates. The price we pay I guess?

No problems here. PIN logon has stayed in place with both 14393.3 and 14393.5.

  9. If I have to reboot after a Windows update its toggled back to Password. Any update that has incremented the build number has done it to me. It's getting rather annoying now. I type my PIN in and nothing happens, then notice its been switched back to password.

You getting the 2 profiles at the bottom left on logon screen? It seems to default first time to password, but if you click the top one of the two profiles (in color), login options, then the little keypad, it goes back and stays back to pin. Mine's like that on every update. And, I think, on new builds. Just the first time.

The .5 update took 2 minutes, and yes the pin option remained.

  14. No, just the one profile. It shows my name with the login box below it. Under that there is a "Sign in options" If you click that you can select PIN or Password. PIN is my default. It actually says PIN in the login box. Until I do an update, then it toggles back to Password. If you have never set up a PIN it will only ever show Password for a log on option.

Odd, cause I've always used a PIN and get what I described. Blame it on Beta!
