Update 2017-05 (KB4019472) fails to install multiple times

Belay that first bit. KB4022723 installs Win10 1607, OS Build 14393.1378. KB4022723 was released on 27 Jun-17 but it looks like it was "pulled" from the update servers two days later on the 29th. Translation: If you're running Win10 1607, OS Build 14393.1358,
all should be well for the moment.

 

W10 - BSOD after wake from sleep

That error appears to be related to the graphics:

BugCheck BE, {ffffaefce06000a9, 8000000000900121, ffff9f00b432a470, b}

Probably caused by : dxgmms2.sys ( dxgmms2!VIDMM_GLOBAL::UpdatePageTable+320 )

Can you install KB4022723 which will update the build to 14393.1378:

If the error persists post back with minidump file(s).

I just wanna ask yout about this KB. Is it going to be on Windows update too or just the Catalog?

Apparently not. The KB article has seemingly been updated since it was first published to remove the "This update will be downloaded and installed automatically from Windows Update" text (I could swear it was there when first published). Currently only the 1703 KB includes that text and is being delivered through windows update. My 1703 system got it through windows update, my 1607 and 1511 systems don't see theirs when checking for updates.

 

What could the reason be it doesn't let me install it on my computer?
I get the error, it's can't be installed on this computer.
But I do have 1607, Built 14393.1358, it shoud update it so 14393.1378, but doesn't let me.
It's x64. It's german, but sais for all languages.

Eager waiting for it, as my Outlook search doesn't work and should be fixed with this update *Sad
anyone having another clue?

 

Smooth, stable, no side effect. This manual update takes about 20-25 minutes to complete.

well you don't really need to install it because it's non-security update . If you don't have any issues, which are listed up, i don't think so, you need to install it. Just use windows update.

Agreed. It's best to install from Windows Update instead.

 

well I do have issue 5, which needs to be fixed (outlook search issue), but it won`t install. Not for your computer.
But as I have 14393.1358, and x64, it should be for my computer..... really odd, as others could install it. I am on a german computer. windows update doesn`t show it either. So a fix that I can`t install, really annoying for me.

Yes, I know it's not a security Update, but according to Outlook known issues in the June 2017 security updates - Outlook it fixes the search issue in my outlook. And Windows Update doesn't show it stil several days later.

Anyway, I am still puzzled: I redownloaded the package today, and it installed. But the downloaded package has the exact same size in byte, so I doubt it was a new one. No restart, nothing I have done. Could this really happen. It's not the first day I work with computers, but sometimes I really believe, every computer has it's own life.

Only thing I could imagine, that it's checking in the background against microsoft, if the computer is good for installation, and this failed. Anyway. Now it installs, so let's hope this issue with Outlook search is past.

As here again: I have a 2nd computer with same versions, that doesn't have the search problem in Outlook, which also doesn't make any sense. Anyway, that's OT *Wink
