error 0x800703ee when upgrading to ver 1703 of windows 10

Hi again,

today i got a bunch of updates for MS-Office and also a cumlative update for Windows (KB4038782). Its now 1607 (Build 14393.1715)

afterwards the upgrade started again but failed with the known errorcode.

Stuck on 95% downloading for about twenty mins now!

 

Stalled at 6% downloaded but Task Manager shows 100% disk activity and the Update Orchestrator Service and Windows Update using CPU time, so must be doing some housekeeping tasks before resuming the download.

 

I hope your right. Mines still 95%! I checked task manager. I don't see update orchestrator but can see service local host doing disk activity. And just as I type the download finally completes!!!! Hope it installs ok now

 

I looked at the Processes tab where it shows what each service host is doing.

 

How come I have so much more going on there?

 

ah I see, thank you! It's all done now, seems ok. Lock screen is still broken but I guess that's a good thing

 

I guess those of us who haven't been offered c.u. Are out of luck-- my update just reported it couldn't be applied. In fact, I reinstalled this very version of windows and checked it with DISM and SFC. No problems were found. But can't apply this latest update. Never going to be offered the creators update and now this pronouncement. What gives

I updated my gaming pc too *Smile It took really long time to get it and the install took really long aswell. Finally, I'm done with all *Smile
I hope you won't have any problems too.

 

Disk Clean up is taking forever (technical term meaning I stopped counting after half an hour). TiWorker.exe and cleanmgr.exe are using 95-100% CPU time between them - stuck on 'Cleaning: Windows Update Clean-up'. Same thing on my 1703 machine *Sad

 

I finally gave up and turned off computer. Three failures, saying a Microsoft program on this computer poses a security risk and needs to be fixed. I have MS office 2016 on here, which I updated, still failed to install.

 

Finally resorted to downloading the update and installing it. Went OK. Just very slow.
