Windows 10 Home Update 1607 to 1709

Dear PCR:

Thank you for the explanation on the BIOS. I am still waiting on the response from ASUS, but I guess my version is the newest, just that the date is incorrect.

I tried out method (1) Update Win 10, v.1511, to its greatest available OS Build...

But it turns out something is not going as it should be (this happened as well before I sent my laptop for system recovery).

I tried using Windows update and it said my system is up to date. When I checked my OS build, it is the same as before:

Version 1511

OS Build 10586.1176
KB4041689

However when I checked my update history, the latest successful update installed for my Windows 10 Version 1511 is (KB4091461). Please refer to the attached.

I downloaded the X64 version Standalone Installer (April 10, 2018—KB4093109 (OS Build 10586.1540)) and tried updating my OS, but then it said 'The update is not applicable to your computer' (see attached).

Summary of my current situation:

• Current OS Build: Version 1511; OS 10586.1176 (KB4041689)
• Newest installed update according to Update history: Version 1511; OS Unknown (KB4091461)
• Newest OS build for Version 1511: KB4093109 (OS Build 10586.1540) cannot be installed through Microsoft update or standalone installer.
  

Although the Microsoft Update said my system is up to date, the Windows 10 Update Assistant still constantly display 'Your PC is at Risk' warning and start the download and update whenever I have access to the internet. It fails every time and my system
restore to my previous version during reboot (I guess it stopped at the first boot phase just like when I tried upgrading to 1709 through ISO).

Since I couldn't get pass step 1, I still haven't proceed with step 2 'Windows system image' nor Step 3 'Upgrade to Win 10 v.1709'. Please advice what should I do next.
