Windows 10: Cumulative Update

My computer did the update and then somehow after the reboot, I was signed in as a temporary user. Some updates didn't update correctly causing apps to not open, emails to not work, etc. So i had to Reset the computer. Most of my files are back and I had to pause updates from her on out. Kind of terrified to updates any more. Right now, Microsoft store doesn't open at all. Not sure why?... ​

I suggest you to uninstall the Cumulative update and check if it helps.

Follow the steps below.

  Go to control panel, then click on
  Programs and Features.
  
• 
  Tap on View installed updates, then find the update.
  
• 
  Right click on the update and uninstall the update.
  

And also you can temporarily disable the
Cumulative update.

Cumulative December update

I tried to download and install the December Cumulative Update from the website you had listed and did not have any luck. I received error messages stating that it would not install and it still has not come through windows update. Do you have any other
suggestions?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
