Windows 10: cumulative updates not installing - Last failed install attempt on ‎17/‎09/‎2020 - 0x800f0922

Hi,


I used an uninstalling tool to remove Microsoft Edge from my PC. Now my cumulative updates aren't working, which I suspect due to the fact that Microsoft edge has been removed. I wasn't aware that you aren't supposed to be able to delete Microsoft Edge off your computer.


I've tried to reinstall Microsoft edge, but of course I get an error saying that he can only install Microsoft edge when Windows 10 is fully up-to-date.....


Classic Catch-22.....


Current update Windows 10 as Microsoft edge is not installed, and I can't install Microsoft edge because Windows 10 is not updated.


Any help would be appreciated.

2017-09 Cumulative Update failed to install

My last successful update version was build 413. Each cumulative update since then has failed to install. Latest message was "2017-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 for x64-based Systems (KB4038788) - Error 0x8e5e0147". Any suggestions on how I can rectify?

 

2020-09 cumulative update

I got 2020-09 cumulative update for windows version and it's downloading is stuck at 100% for last 1 hour. Please tell how much more time will it take to downloading and install.

 

Error 0x800F0922 when attempting to install 2018-09 Cumulative Update (KB4457128) on Windows 10

Hey guys,

I am having trouble with the latest Windows Update package.

My computer is set to update automatically and up until this update I haven't had any issues updating, but with this specific one (2018-09 Cumulative Update) when I try to update, it seems to get installed, then my
computer is restarted and when it reaches 92% on the blue "updating" screen it gets stuck for a bit and then says "We couldn't complete the updates, undoing changes".

I have read a bunch of articles and online solutions, and so far I have tried: Windows Update Troubleshooter, Downloading the update
(KB4457128) and installing it manually, fixing file corruptions with DISM and SFC commands, resetting the update processes and changing the update folder names.

So far nothing that I tried has worked in any way. In the windows event viewer this is the error message that is shown: "Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x800F0922:
2018-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4457128)."

Any ideas on how I can resolve this?
