Rubbish. I don't know what business you work with but honestly.

Generally I'll be lucky if I get an external telephone line let alone network access. That is secure for sure - leaving the consultant in the corridor without an access card seems a favorite also - if they can't get in....

I must keep missing the sexy birds though.

  2. One must remember that the bad guys don't stop working just because a new operating system comes out. The bad guys don't have lay offs.
Also keep in mind that most users of computing devices don't go to forums like we do. They have no idea what security on a phone or computer is. I would venture to say that they don't care as long as they can tweak or what ever. Those kind of users are becoming the majority so when it comes to security I think things will get even worse.

You can't teach people things they don't want to learn.

Of course not, every new edition gives them more ammo and incentive to "better" their "work".

How can an inanimate object be sexy? I use Avast AIS and it is far from being sexy.

  5. Now that 10 is out, how is security for it ?

Yes it is and I think it looks different, haven't used it on W8.1 lately though. It's rating has improved as of lately and hope it will be much better with time.

Unfortunately most people favor convenience over security, so if there's a faster way to get to/do something while sacrificing security, it's bound to happen.

A good example is when I put NoScript on some peoples PC's & tell them it's a good security measure. When I check their PC's a while later, most of them have removed it because it was "bothersome" to do one extra click to allow something to run. One extra click is too much? Even after I explain the advantages of having it, they still think that's too much effort.

    It makes you wonder.

Yes it is there in 10, in fact they merged the virus protection with windows defender. No longer called Microsoft Security Essentials. The thing I missed is having the icon buy the clock for easier access.

  9. In Win 8.1 I pinned the icon to the taskbar. Haven't tried it in 10 yet.
