Windows 10: "current" Assembler

Is there a "current" version of MASM, using ML64 perhaps, specifically one that has an IDE?I used to use MASM on an 8086 PC, many years ago and want to do some new development in Assembler.In particular, I want to convert some old games I wrote, to use modern hardware.

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

 

Assemblies verification skipping enabled by default for x64 processes

Hi all,

I was preparing a development environment on some computers and for this reason I have started to work with delay signed .Net assemblies. Executing the following command (64 bit process):

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v10.0A\bin\NETFX 4.6 Tools\x64>sn -Vl

I have received this result on all Windows 10 computers (but not Windows 8):

Assembly/Strong Name Users

===========================================

*,* All users

Executing the same command using x86 process, the skipping list is empty.

According to my investigation, it seems that this setting is vulnerability as all x64 assemblies signatures are not verified.

To disable it is enough to run the command "sn -Vx" but I'm wondering if it is a problem on my own configured Windows 10 machine or is it a general problem ?

What is the expected default .Net assemblies verification skipping list ?

Visual Studio 2013, Different assembly versions?


I had a project that I started in Windows 8.1 in Visual C# 2013 that I had been working on for a while, but after Upgrading to Windows 10 (Currently Build 9926) I am unable to build the project anymore and these two errors are thrown out.

1>C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\12.0\bin\Microsoft.Common.CurrentVersion.targets(1697,5): warning MSB3277: Found conflicts between different versions of the same dependent assembly that could not be resolved. These reference conflicts are listed in the build log when log verbosity is set to detailed.

1>C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\12.0\bin\Microsoft.Common.CurrentVersion.targets(2234,5): warning MSB3283: Cannot find wrapper assembly for type library "MSHTML". Verify that (1) the COM component is registered correctly and (2) your target platform is the same as the bitness of the COM component. For example, if the COM component is 32-bit, your target platform must not be 64-bit.
