Windows 10: Cursor freezes on notification since last build drop

    Cursor freezes on notification since last build drop


    My cursor freezes for several seconds while some kind of notification get sent to the computer. I do not actually see a message, but I get that six-note tone (three notes down, pause, three notes ending up), after which the freeze releases the cursor. this has only started since the last time I updated software, about two weeks ago. It is more than annoying. I have read several other posts about cursor freeze, but they are all old and probably solved by now. This is recent. So, why is this happening and how can I get it to stop?

    Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

    Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

    Random Crash/Freeze on Build 10130


    Hello everyone.

    I have been running the Windows 10 preview for the last few months and other than a driver issue here or there, did not experience any real problems. However, with the last update to build 10130, I have been experiencing a random crash/freeze that manifests itself in one of two ways:

    1. If I step away from the computer and come back before the monitor is set to go to sleep, I will come back to a frozen cursor, unable to do anything.
    2. If I step away from the computer and come back after the monitor has gone to sleep, I will come back to a black screen, unable to do anything.
    In both cases, I have to hold the power button in to shut down the computer for a restart.

    Any direction or help would be greatly appreciated.

    That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

    At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
