  1. cursor moves on its own on 1st login

I have a new-ish Acer Aspire XC-885 running windows 10 & Bitdefender protected & recent scan showing no issues. Immediately following latest windows update the cursor stated to track to the right following user login. I rolled back the update but no help. I then tried a clean boot again no good. I have swapped the mouse for wired and bluetooth versions with no luck.

The only thing that does seem to work is re-logging onto my user account from my same user account. Not all of our family user accounts are affected. Is uninstalling the user accounts necessary?

    Many thanks

    :)

  2. Cursor moves but I cannot type!

    Hi,

Are you able to enter using the On-screen keyboard? If you haven't tried yet, follow the below steps and check.

    • When you're on login screen, click on Ease of Access
at bottom right and select On-Screen Keyboard from the list.
    • Then use you cursor to type the password with
      On-Screen Keyboard.
    • Before clicking the login, press the eye symbol
(I.e. Reveal Password) option in the password field, to see the password is correct.

Keep us posted with the status of the issue to continue assisting you further.

    Thank you.

  3. my lenovo laptop will not log in as cursor will not move

I have read quite a few other threads about stuck cursors, none of which have helped. When I turn my computer on, whether normally or safe mode I am unable to move the cursor to log in. A lot of threads suggest downloading software or trying various websites.
None of that can be performed if I can't log in.

Are there any suggestions which will get the cursor to move so I can login. I have most of the files backed up, but there is one I was using for work earlier that I was working on when it froze. I'd like to be able to get it back and use the laptop as before.
