Windows 10: Cursor problems

I went on to an American site and sent an email. Now when I try to type anything and hit the space bar my cursor goes to the beginning of the line. Please help its driving me mad!

Thank you both for your prompt replies, I tried all steps listed, some I had tries previously but I still tried them again, but still no cursor.

Do you have any other suggestions?

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.
