Windows 10: Customizing windows 10 taskbar labels

Discus and support Customizing windows 10 taskbar labels in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; I was curious as to if it's possible with apps such as chrome to change the display for the currently open tab to instead just say "Google Chrome"...     I was curious as to if it's possible with apps such as chrome to change the display for the currently open tab to instead just say "Google Chrome"

    As seen here it shows the entire tab label or as much of it as it can show without cutting it off, so far i haven't been able to find anything on this.

    Hide taskbar labels - Windows 10

    Hi,



    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community forum.



    You may try the steps listed below and check if it works:

    • Right click a blank area on the taskbar and choose
      Taskbar Settings.

    • Under Combine Taskbar Buttons, choose
      Always, hide labels.

    • Exit Settings.

    Hi Daniel,

    You can change your taskbar settings by hiding labels. Please follow the steps below:

    • Press the Start button > type Taskbar
      settings
      .
    • Under Combine taskbar buttons drop-down, select
      Always, hide labels.
