Windows 10: D driver

I have downloaded the newest update tried to update my drivers many times. I have searched and tried everything My D drive is missing it had 1 tb of storage, i use this computer to play games so i need that amount of storage. I have tested my drivers installed the newest updates, updated the drivers, downloaded programs to detect if its still on my computer. It doesnt show up on device manager, and it doesnt show up on driver management. I only have my c drive now and that is around 200 gbs of storage. I factory reset my computer to see if it would help and it didnt. I dont care about the data i just need the storage back. This is so annoying. I have had the computer for over a year now never had an issue but the newest update to windows 10 completely screwed it up. This is a huge problem i have searched the internet for help and nothing has helped even look at these posts and nothing helped. It is not an external storage driver either. My laptop is an Alienware laptop got it last year, opted for the 1 tb storage. Now after an update its gone. Thank you for your response.

D drive

Based on the details you have provided us, it appears that there might be some corrupted contents on the said partition. We can also consider that this is caused by a virus.

• Type-in the following command:
  
  attrib -h -r -s /s /d D:\*.*
• Press Enter to execute the command.

If you think that there is nothing important stored in it, then we suggest that you reformat your D drive so that you can use the free space for important files.

You can follow the steps below to start with the process:

• Click on the File Explorer.
• Select This PC.
• Right-click on your D drive, then click on Format.
• Follow the on-screen process to finish formatting the partition.

We understand that you are unable to add your printer as default printer.

I request you to follow the methods below.

Method 1:

Uninstall and Reinstall the Printer's Driver.

Step 1: Uninstall the Printer's Drivers

a. Press “Windows Logo” + “X” keys on the keyboard.

b. Click on “Device Manager” from that list.

c. Search for the Printer from the device list, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove
the corrupted drivers from the computer.

d. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and then restart the computer if prompted.

After the restart, please go ahead with the next steps to install the latest drivers and check if that resolves the issue.

Update Driver Software from the Manufacturer’s website:

Step 2: Go to the Printer manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 drivers available for the printer model and then install it by following the instructions given in the website.
