Windows 10: d3d9.dll was not found how to fix?

When i open any game from steam like mount and blade warband or gta sa it says d3d9.dll was not fount try reinstelling program.

I tried reinstaling directx didnt work.

I tried directx end user something also didnt work.

Please how do i fix it.

I have windows 10 64bit

D3D9.dll error.

Just update Windows 10 on September 9, 2016. Since then I am not able to play League of Legends. I am getting a D3D9.dll error. After running SFC scannow command, it indicates that there are two .dll corrupted and cannot be repair. (see below) I have an
ASUS i7-4790 3.6GHz and Geforce GTX 750 driver version is up to date 372.70.

Any suggest would be greatly appreciated.

I just had this same problem on my Windows 10 computer and spend several hours researching different issues. I think I found a solution. It seems there is a problem between the d3d9.dll file inside the FSX install, and the actual directx that is installed
with windows 10.

To fix, I just followed a hunch and renamed the d3d9.dll located in the games install directory. In my case I just appended an underscore to the extension like this: "d3d9.dll_"

Your file is located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\d3d9.dll

Try renaming and let me know if it fixes your issue.
