    You may not need to download the image file, instead just run DISM.

    Simple enough just to run the DISM like this:

    Run this one to see if there is corruption:
    1. Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    It appears to stall out, then appears to Stall Out again at 20% but let it keep going.

    Run this one to Check if the Image can be repaired:
    2. Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
    CheckHealth also seems to Stall Out so just let it run.

    Run this one to Repair the Image:
    3. DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth Then, if wanted, you can run "sfc /scannow" again to verify.

    If it can't be repaired then you would need to download the iso via the Media Creation Tool. It takes a long time to download one of these images so if you don't need it let's try to avoid that. I suspect you just chose the wrong Option during the Media Creation Tool Process. You will need to choose the ISO download instead.

    @ksiemb, did you ever check what were the errors? You can quickly check in Releability history or Event viewer.
    Whocrashed will give you more detailed view.

    -Could also be overheating. Check your temps with some temperature monitor.
    -and turn off Fast startup, if you didn't yet.

    It's telling you right here that it is Repairable? Run it again like I showed you for starters, all three Commands.

    Viewer is too cryptic. and all Reliability tells me is Windows was not shut down properly. DUH I already know that !

    Event Viewer too cryptic. Reliability History tells me Windows did not shut down properly. Hell, I already know that !

    Not shut down properly, that is sign of failure. Very often sign of overheating, so hardware problem, but could still be some driver related problem.


    Posting your working temps (of CPU and graphic card) would be helpful. HWinfo is good utility, but there are many.

    I ran the restore. End up with "source files cannot be found. Done with screwing around with stuff that don't work ! The scanhealth part sat at 40.8 % for over 1 hour. I decided to press enter key, and it began to proceed to completion. Go figure !

    That is AMD service (graphic). A lot of this problems around the net. Reinstalling AMD driver may help.

    Was this latest restore successful? Otherwise I would recommend inplace repair (starting setup from mounted WIN 10 ISO)

    I don't get blue screens. Screen goes black, get the HP Logo, and it reboots.

    Daily Unwanted Restarts

    The log files are useful for troubleshooting problems that are not BSOD so it will collect logs that can be troubleshooted.
