Windows 10: Daily Unwanted Restarts

I was going to direct you to BSOD section, but wasn't sure yet, as it may be hardware error (overheating) anyway, those guys are specialists at resolving those issues...

 

CPU temp is 55C And there is nothing to download !

Check GPU temps too. And keep monitoring them

And did your turn off fast start up?

 

No. I don't know how techie ! You guys think everyone is on your level, well we aren't ! I will try to find out, but the system went down half way thru the windows download and I have to do that again, and monitor the GPU also ? Oh sure ! LOL !

 

Ok, just ask and we will go step by step.

For temps monitoring, I like HWinfo. download and install (link was here before). At start it will ask you if running only sensors, check yes and run



Find Temps/ Core max and GPU, click them and graph will show.




You can show it in system tray too. follow like in the picture below

Why even do this ?

 

I have run chkdsk and fixed some bad sectors. Have been running all day with no downtime. will see, for the next few days

 

Open the event viewer to find the chkdsk reports > copy and paste to notepad > post one drive or drop box share links into the thread:

Please run the beta log collector to collect various computer log files for troubleshoooting:
msinfo32, dxdiag, mini dumps, drivers, hosts, install, uninstall, services, RAM, event viewer, etc.

Everyone is guessing. I thought just maybe someone KNEW because they experienced this. Thanks anyway. Like I said, corrected some bad sectors on HD. Will wait to see....

 

If you want to know more.. follow zbook's advice and run that info collector. It will reveal all your software - just to be warned...

If you change your mind for fast startup, quick way is (in elevated command prompt type):

 

I downloaded, unzipped his (ZBOOK) crap. Nothing worked after unzipping the download. Enough is enough. NOBODY NEED respond ANYMORE AS I AM NO LONGER MONITORING THIS THREAD !

 

If you are not getting a Blue error screen when the computer randomly shuts down, it is more than likely an overheating issue, bad cpu, or motherboard. I also would suspect RAM (memory) but that usually gives an error screen (Blue Screen of Death) before shutting down. Also, when it shuts down, does it reboot on its own or do you need to manually turn the computer back on?
