Windows 10: Dark mode in Windows 11 is contrasting and blurry

I have a Windows 11 HP laptop. I tried some basic solutions like changing the settings for transparency, enabling/disabling contrast modes, switching to light mode and back, restarting the laptop, cleartype text settings, restarting the PC, checking driver updates. I even tried setting my own "contrast" settings but the text is then still blurry. None of these seem to work. When I take screenshots using Win+Shift+S or the snipping tool they look fine not blurred or contrasting. So I had to take pictures from my phone to show the actual issue. I see this issue only in microsoft related stuff

What's the fascination with dark mode?  

In Visual Studio 2019 the theme choices are:

• Blue
• Light
• Dark
• Blue (Extra Contrast)

I tried the Dark theme in Visual Studio. Your right about focusing on the text. That's not the problem. When in Dark mode the text is blurry to me so if I don't focus on it I will probably get a headache. I much prefer the Blue theme where reading the text is less stressful. In Office 2019 the theme choices are:

• Colorful (default)
• Dark Gray
• Black
• White
• Use system setting

I find the default theme of Colorful best for me.

 

Dark mode

Because of low vision I have to use Dark Mode to view all text. White text on a

black background is the only format I can use on my PC, iPhone & iPad. Currently

I am using a Windows 7 desktop in High Contrast Black. This lets me view emails, Word docs

and Excel in “Dark Mode”. However, to print a normal (black text on white) page I

have to change to High Contrast White.

From my IOS 13.6 iPhone/iPad’s Dark Mode I can print a normal page without

leaving Dark Mode. I want to change to a Windows 10 desktop with the same Dark

Mode print capabilities as I have on my iPhoe/iPad. Unfortunately, many Apps are

not Dark Mode friendly forcing frequent toggles to “Invert Colors” If Word/Excel are

not Built-in Windows 10 Apps will I have the same Dark Mode print issues I have in

Windows 7? Thanks.

 

windows 11 dark mode not working on some windows?

Enabled dark mode on windows 11 pro but noticed that on some screens it doesn't activate, for example on folder properties, desktop icon settings, or any such similar screen, the window stays light.

Is this a user end issue?

High contrast mode or third party skins hit everything though.
