Windows 10: data maintenance on windows 11

my new C drive shows 8.37 GB free of 237 GB = 228.63 usedsystem drive = 65.8 mb free of 99.9 mbBy old drive shows 417GB of 465 GB. = 58 used - presently plugged in as an external drive.I did upgrade from win 8 to win 11 at one stageCan I free up my C drive? all my data is backed up on Onedrive.I know nothing on how the space is partitioned.I don't have huge amounts of movies saved, and maybe a couple of gigs of images.How do I do a survey and indentify what I can do without?at least half of the shown usage should be able to be removed.What utilities should I look for?

Windows 11 Home Missing Notifications for Security and Maintenance

Is Windows 11 Home supposed to have a Security and Maintenance notification option or provide notifications for when a Windows Defender Scan is Run?

I recently bought a new Dell with Windows 11 Home.

I uninstalled McAfee 1st thing. Both through windows and then again via a new download from McAfee for MCPR.exe

I never get notifications that Windows Defender has run periodically.

I checked Task Scheduler and even added a start of 7:00am with help from a MicroSoft Tech.

Unlike Windows 10 Pro

On my Win 11 Home PC;
Settings (Also says "System") / "Notifications" / "Notifications from Apps and other senders";
There is a short list of apps...
There is NOT an on/off choice for
Security and Maintenance (or anything resembling such)

Are Windows Defender Scans in included in control panel Maintenance. I just ran a manual one. It completed, but no where do I see results or get notified a scan was even run.

Interesting, but; how do you get the results of the automatic scan?

Where are the notifications?

Method 1: Windows has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with system. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your System
Maintenance.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.
• Run the System Maintenance troubleshooter.

Method 2: Place your computer in clean boot state and check if it helps.

Putting your system in Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. You need to follow the steps from the article mentioned below to perform a Clean Boot.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
