TL;DR: Originally started out as trying to fix green screen crashing issues w/ AMD components Ryzen 5 2600x, RX 5600XT and the latest drivers not doing well with Windows 11/new Windows 10 updates. Fell down the rabbit hole of trying to fix event errors and now we're here. The server {8CFC164F-4BE5-4FDD-94E9-E2AF73ED4A19} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.

I have got BSOD and while the Event Viewer I got this error: The server {8CFC164F-4BE5-4FDD-94E9-E2AF73ED4A19} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.

I dont, know what just happened. and How to solve this issues, cause it is been happening 7 - 8 in a day now.

 

DCOM Registration {8CFC164F-4BE5-4FDD-94E9-E2AF73ED4A19} - PC crash

Hi I have Windows 11 Pro 22H2 [Version 10.0.22621.1702] with an AMD Ryzen 5 6600H processor, playing Idle Slayer I've had PC crashes, although they are not very continuous is quite annoying.



Today for the first time I had a PC crash browsing with Chrome, I saw in some community threads that uploading the contents of the Windows minidump folder can help identify the problem.

How to fix the Windows 11 Laptop Keeps BSOD seemingly only when unplugged?

I owe you an update. I tested the laptop (using it unplugged, sending it to sleep by closing a lid, then using it again, plugged back in, and continue using it).

So far the system did not crash.

In the Even Log, I can see only one Error "The server {8CFC164F-4BE5-4FDD-94E9-E2AF73ED4A19} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout."

I will keep monitoring and will keep you updated.
