Windows 10: Deactivate Windows 10

A friend has a Windows 10 charity license and wants to remove it and give the original license on the case.

The charity license is Pro and the original license is Home. The PC [a bit on the old side] will be given to someone.

Will [COLOR=rgba102, 102, 102, 1]slmgr /upk work and then activate with the original license.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=rgba102, 102, 102, 1]However, I am wiping out the installation. Can I re-install Windows and use the original license key [while not on the Internet] and then activate? Or will it still remember the charity license?[/COLOR]

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
