Windows 10: Debit card not working on Microsoft Store

Hi...As the title suggests, I am trying to buy an app from the Microsoft Store but it refuses to accept my debit card. It says the card info do not match but this card is internationally valid and does work with other websites like PayPal. Any idea how to complete the purchase? The store doesn't list PayPal as an option which would have helped my cause a lot. My region is India and the OS version is Windows 10 S. So by this point you will know that I need the store apps. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks.

my debit card cannot be added in the wallet.

ICICI Bank Debit Card works in Microsoft Store as well as in Paypal, Google Wallet. I have added my card and it works fine for all three sites listed above.

 

Indian debit cards are not accepted in Windows Store.

In the year 2013 when I was using Windows 8/8.1, I've purchased two items from Windows Store using two different Indian bank's debit cards. That time, both of them worked properly along with the additional security measure Indian cards follow. But now, I'm
unable to use any of the Indian debit cards. I know Indian debit cards don't work on most of the international websites, but why did Microsoft remove support when it had it already working earlier?

So I am not sure about this but I believe that if you set up a new payment option and choose credit card (assuming debit card is not an option) and input all the information it should work. Make sure the following is true:

• your debit card must have either the Visa or MasterCard logo on.
• Your debit card cannot have restrictions on subscription-based internet purchases. If you are not sure whether your debit card has restrictions on subscription-based Internet purchases, contact the financial institution that issued the debit card.
• You must have more than one dollar in your debit card account.

Give it a try and see if it works ...
