    Windows 10 .. never used Homegroup .. ever .. and today, it pops up on the desktop out of nowhere. Didn't they get rid of that? Plus I can tell from file explorer something wonky has changed ... and there is Homegroup back. And that darn OneDrive is trying to force its way into my life .. though I had it shut off at some point. Sigh. Windows Updates .. just keep on giving

  2. Windows 10 - OneDrive

    Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

    If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

  3. Suddenly reappear a deleted folder

    Hey guys, I come back because my issue insists. I can't reproduce anymore by myself, but random times I see the folder there.

    I already tried safe mode and also I tried to find any bad sector. No luck!
    @werby, what exactly you suggest?

    PS: Btw, the "Public" name of the folder was my choice. I just give this name as the filename. I don't think that Windows as OS is so stupid that can't recognize that isn't the Public folder.

    Suddenly reappear a deleted folder

    I notices two other strange things.
    1. The folder is not complete empty. It has also a folder inside. In this folder is exist also a empty folder.
    2. I tried to move the 'Public' folder to wastebin and the I asked from Bitdefender to erase the waste bit. Bitdefender read this name wrong. See attachment.
    3. When I confirm to delete it, it said that access denied - See second attachment.

    PS: The folder name between the two screenshots is different because I restore the folder, change the name and move it back to wastebin.
