Windows 10: Default Mail App on Windows 10 not secure?

I signed in my yahoo inbox using windows's default mail app, and yahoo keeps complaining about.



Question: Is window's default mail app really not secure, or is yahoo just trying to get me to use their app somehow?

Window's fault, or yahoo being evil?

Send To Mail Recipient [Broken] Windows 10

Same issue here. Upgraded to windows 10 using new mail app as default. Setup mail app as instructed. When I right click on a doc/photo, select send to mail recipient; windows says there is no default mail app. Unfortunately, there is no instructions
for setting up the default windows 10 mail app as the default mail app. Major fubar MS! Need help with this now? What is the name and location of the mail app?????

 

Mail Default Program

Mail is shown as the default app in Windows 10. However, I keep getting a notice that there is no default mail app. I have tried several times to associate Mail as the default app but keep getting the notice.

 

After being severely hacked, Yahoo is reacting by trying to shoehorn everyone into using 2-factor authentication and more robust protocols than POP3.

They don't really have their own application / off-line mail client; they just prefer that you log into their web site, so that you can view their ads as well as your mail.

W10 Mail is as secure as any other program running the same protocols (IMAP or POP3).
