Windows 10: Defender Update KB2267602 stuck @ 96%

Hello All,


I am seeing all of my new computer setups failing to complete this update.


Security Intelligence Update for Windows Defender Antivirus - KB 2267602 Version 1.309.445.0


The Status immediately jumps to 96% and then is stuck.


I have attempted to work around it with no luck. Also the Cumulative update of 2020-01 for version 1909 is running. Not sure if they go hand in hand. I have attempted running the troubleshooter with no success.


Any suggestions.

Try to update Windows Defender manually and check.

Here are the steps:

• 
  Press Windows key, type Windows Defender
  and hit Enter.
  
• 
  Click on Update and try to update from there.
  

If this doesn't help, I would suggest you to follow the suggestions provided by
Ronnie Vernon on November 3, 2015 and see if it helps in resolving the issue.

Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB2267602 error


Hello

When I run Windows Update I receive the following message concerning Windows Defender:





And when I try Windows Defender itself, I get the following:





The latest definition version installed is 1.245.410.0. Can anyone suggest what might be at fault here?

Feature Update to Windows 10, version 1709 stuck at 96%


As the title of the topic suggests, the update is just stuck at 96%. This is the second time I'm trying to download this update. The first time it was stuck at 95% and now this.

Is there any other way to download this update. And also, how should I cancel the update cause as I'm writing this it is stuck. Or should I just wait it out for it to fail by itself?

EDIT: It got solved on its own. Will reopen a new thread if any new error occurs.
