Windows 10: Delay Update Question

Thanks to the last botched Win10 update I figured I'd follow instructions to set a delay period. I set it to 100 days even though I really need way less than that. It's my understanding I've killed the auto update for 100 days.

But... suppose I check for updates during that period? If there is one will it start to download? Or will it ask me IF I want to and allow me the 'no' option?

Just curious.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

To get rid of the Windows 10 upgrade, I would suggest you to follow these steps:

• Go to control panel, then click on Programs and Features.
• Tap on View installed updates, then find the update called KB3035583.
• Now uninstall this update.
