Windows 10: Delaying Updates

Hello

Due to recent 'rumours' I took the decision to stop updates and using Windows Pro this gives the option of delaying them for some time. the OS build I am currently at is =Edition Windows 10 Pro Version 1803 OS Build 17134.345. I have like mentioned paused the updates till the 15/11/18. The question being does anyone know more details about the 'update bug/glitch' and is it safe to 'Resume updates'? I heard the 'bug/glitch' erased certain files can anyone confirm this? And with a little more detail? Including anything else the bug/glitch may cause problems with (if there was a genuine 'bug/glitch' at all) and ultimately is it 'safe' to 'resume updates'? I was just about to do a 'reset' anyway of this device so I have been 'double' backing up files anyway. I have a feeling the 'update' will not 'fit' on the hard drive anyway before the 'reset' but at I guess I suppose it is worth a shot is it? Or could 'overfilling the hard drive cause damage and or problems? So it would be better to start with the 'restart' I have put it off as long as possible. The Windows C drive is full with only 13.2GB left out of 329GB so as one can imagine the performance is being effected all ready. But if I was to be honest I would like to 'complete' the 'update' if possible before the 'reset' then I know the OS is up too date (mainly the security up to date any information on the subject from people with experience would be much appreciated! Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

To get rid of the Windows 10 upgrade, I would suggest you to follow these steps:

• Go to control panel, then click on Programs and Features.
• Tap on View installed updates, then find the update called KB3035583.
• Now uninstall this update.
