I actually did this and rebooted. They did not come back.
Personally I think it's silly to have "Camera Roll" and "Saved Pictures" libraries when you could just have folders within the already existing "Pictures" library...
Edit: They eventually did come back.

  3. If you are sure you want to get rid of them, you can move them to OneDrive (where they cannot be found for some reason). Right click on the folder, select properties, go to the location tab, press move and select OneDrive. A few warning messages will appear. Click ok, and they should be moved and hidden (again, OneDrive does not show them for an unidentified reason). Make sure you no longer want them before doing this.

As these are system folders, they have a location tab... . Why not use the Location Tab to change the location to somewhere that does not annoy you.

Right-click the offending folder, select a new path where you can live with the folder (somewhere you won't see it, eg create a System Junk folder in your user folder). Click OK, "Yes" for the folder to be created if it does not exist there, "Yes" for contents to be moved. Done.

... Or, you could stuff both folders in a blank/nameless folder, just in case!
That way, when you do sync your new Windows Phone, the items will show up! *Wink

    @JEDISKT welcome to Ten Forums*Smile

First of all, for a lot of things Windows, there is no one solution fits all.

Second, the members here are just every day normal users, that come here on their free time, to help others with their experience,
or to share a solution they have found that works for them, or get help themselves.
Even the Microsoft MVP's and Community Contributors, do not know everything about Windows 10(with the exception of @Brink maybe*Wink).

Third it can take time to troubleshoot a problem if the "normal" solution doesn't work, as every PC is different, every user has it set up different, and has different software installed that can cause problems with Windows.

And lastly with an attitude like that, it would surprise me if anyone offers to help you.

In my system they do not reappear. I deleted them 10 minutes ago, I have rebooted four (4) times since then, and they never appeared again. The only App I keep in my system is the Store.

I just took a Gateway Notebook from WinVista through Win7 w/SP1 to Win10 and didn't have the Camera Roll Folder in Pictures until I activated the Win10 Webcom application on it and took a test picture. I guess if I never ever used the Webcam I could delete that Folder.

  15. Thank you Keith. Your solution (from the link) worked for me.

After I ran the reg file in I had to close and re-open explorer to see the result.

Before I applied this solution every time I loaded the Photos app the deleted libraries would reappear.

    Many thanks again.
