Windows 10: Delete orphan files from Program Files x86\Common Files

    I recently uninstalled a program named "DiskDirector" using the Apps/Features uninstaller. The result was not pretty. I further tried the application's uninstaller. No improvement. I then ran Windows Fixit. No better. Remaining in "Common Files" is the is the DiskDirector folder with one program file oss_reinstall_svc.exe inside. I am the Administrator and only user.

    The system will not allow deletion of the folder or the program file. I have attempted to set "Special Permissions" unsuccessfully. I have taken ownership as the administrator but still have been unable to delete the items. Please advise, thankyou.

    Plz recomend program to recover deleted files.

    Let me try what you guys suggested, i am willing to pay for the program to get the files back.

    Delete Programs Files or Program Files(x86)?

    You cannot delete them,if you delete it would screw up the computer.Generally Program files is for 64 bit installed programs and Program files(X86 ) is for 32 bit programs installed.

    Use disk cleanup utility with system files to free up space.
