Windows 10: Deleted MSG files saved to Desktop keep reappearing

Message files (.msg) that are permanently deleted from my Desktop folder continue to reappear after refreshing the desktop, restarting explorer.exe, etc. In case it's relevant, I'm working in a corporate domain environment with automated backups running on a schedule. The issue only happens with .msg files and doesn't seem to go all the way back to the last time I was reimaged. Currently, there are 4 files that keep reappearing, all from either 10/31 or 11/1. After permanently deleting the files, attempting to copy another .msg file with the same name prompts if I want to overwrite the existing file that shares its name, even though no .msg files exist on my desktop screen or in the Desktop directory. Any ideas?

Reappearing files I deleted

I suggest you to follow the below steps to delete the folder and check if it's reappear.

• • 
    Open the Command prompt with admin (Windows +x and select Command prompt).
    
  • 
    In the command prompt, type the command below and press enter.
    
    NOTE: Substitute
    Full Path of Folder within quotes below with your folder's full path within quotes instead.
    
    RD /S /Q "Full Path of Folder".
    
  • 
    The folder should now be deleted.
    
  • 
    Close the command prompt.

windows 10 deleted my desktop files

Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

copied all files again to desktop.

Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

• Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
• Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
• Click on Users, select your User name
• Go to desktop folder

Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.

Under what circumstances do the files reappear?

• After a reboot?
• At a fixed time?
• When you do something specific?
• At random?
