    Hi! I decided to delete a user account on my PC (Windows 10) and chose to keep files. However, some of the folders from my deleted user were lost (e.g. Downloads). Is there any way I can restore those files? I hope someone could help. Thank you in advance.

    Trouble deleting a folder

    Thanks for the suggestion but it says "delete folder failed for E:\....." for each folder I try.

    *Confused Deleted User, chose to keep files, but some folders were lost :confused:

    Will I be forever stuck with these unnecessary folders? *Oh Well Deleted User, chose to keep files, but some folders were lost :eek:hwell:

    windows 10 deleted my desktop files

    Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

    Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

    copied all files again to desktop.

    Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

    Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

    • Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
    • Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
    • Click on Users, select your User name
    • Go to desktop folder
    Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.

    Files & Folder from c:/Users/OwnUser(My username) Folder getting Deleted itself in Windows 10

    Hello,

    There are possible reasons that may cause the files and folders to be missing. It could be caused by the following:

    • Computer viruses.
    • Corrupted files.
    • Files infected with malware.
    • Set to hidden. Etc.
