  1. Deleting an unneeded folder in ProgramData results in a folder called "Microsoft" being...

I was just surfing all the files in my computer, when I found a folder named "wargaming.net" in my ProgramData hidden folder in C drive. I had downloaded World of Tanks some time agoa year or so?, but uninstalled it, so I reasoned that I did not need the folder. I went inside it and it was just around a few xml files and others, and folders containing of the like, so promptly deleted it. However, once I got out of the ProgramData folder, I noticed something odd. There was a new folder named "Microsoft" in C drive.

I openned the folder and it contained quite a lot of files, including command scripts???

I'm wondering if this file is supposed to be here, and if I can safely delete the entirety of it.

    :)

    Accidentally Deleted Some Folders

Yesterday I was cleaning my PC and I accidentally deleted two folders (named "NVIDIA" and "NVIDIA Corporation") in C:\ProgramData. To my knowledge this two folders only contain non important stuff like logs, etc. Later on I have found out my Program Settings in NV Control panel were set to default. This is no big deal, but now I'm worrying I fu***d something up. Otherwise, everything works as it should --> no overheating, BSODs, games are working normally...

I just want to know what I deleted. Were those two folders important???

Vista - Weird error trying to delete Start Menu item

I'm trying to delete an unneeded folder from the Start Menu. I right-click and then "Explore", navigate to "Programs", select the folder and press delete.

It won't let me delete the folder! (It is an empty folder.) The error that comes up is:

The thing is, the folder IS there. I'm sitting here looking at it. Why is Windows telling me it doesn't exist, and more importantly, how can I finally delete this useless empty folder which is cluttering up my Start Menu?
