Windows 10: Deleting driver files in System 32 folder are coming up as incompatible and preventing...

I cannot turn my memory integrity back on, as 2 driver files in System 32 folder are coming up as incompatible. These relate to a Logitech webcam which after checking with Logitech there is, as yet, no update driver for using this webcam on Windows 11. How do I safely remove these drivers lvbflt64.sys and lvuvc64.sys?

Trouble deleting a folder

Thanks for the suggestion but it says "delete folder failed for E:\....." for each folder I try.

C windows installer folder - Delete?

He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink
Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

Like:
First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
Then type this in command mode as admin
mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.

 

incompatible drivers

The drivers listed must be in the C:\Windows\System folder, usually in the Driver folder, that is where Windows would have read those drivers from when they were listed as incompatible with that function, I cannot understand how those drivers are not in that folder.
