Windows 10: Dell M6600 system crash

After update to Windows 10 my system crashes at random times. Everything freezes, neither mouse nor keyboard work. I have no other option than to physically turn of the laptop and restart.

In the event log it shows the following error:

This file was in Program Files/IDT/WDM folder. And every time i touched the file (e.g. right click to show properties), the system freezes. I removed this folder. But the system keeps crashing with this error in the event log (although this file no longer exists).


I tried to reinstall IDT PC Audio driver as suggested here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...-working/0acfd28a-4730-49e1-8063-4d0fd1c06fc7 But it doesn't help. The problem is that I'm not sure what exact System Maker's driver I need.

I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

ive watch my temps and both the cpu and gpu are within normal ranges. when it freezes it simply freezes the image and stops the sound. i must reboot to get back to windows.

 

Suspected problem with Dell 1550W wireless driver


The M6800 is a Dell Precision M6800, correct? If so, you can actually replace the wireless card with something newer.
