Windows 10: Dell monitor P2419h driver

I have a Dell P2419h monitor that I'm trying to connect to my laptop. It connects, but the resolution isn't great 1600x900. I should be able to get 1920x1080. I downloaded the Dell driver, but I get the following message:

The monitor is connected with a VGA cable and I can get images just not the best resolution. My computer connects to a different monitor with no issues Philips model. I've looked around on the internet and tried addressing issues, and it seems to be a Windows 10 issue more than a Dell hardware issue. Any suggestions for how to address this? Thanks!

Dell Monitor Camera

I have a Dell Monitor hooked to a Dell XPS Laptop. I want to use the monitor camera not the laptop camera. I've tried the suggestions from a closed thread about activating the camera but when I try the steps it keeps going to the laptop camera.

Suggestions or am I asking the impossible.

 

Dell Monitor won't stay tilted back

Try3, that was a wealth of info there, thanks. If needed I think I will go with a Dell 24 Monitor: P2419H because I like that they slide up and down along with tilt. Perhaps not the best monitor I don't know. Will need to look at the specs closer later.

I don't really know if mine is overheating, so may be jumping the gun a little. The monitor above also has USB 3.0 Ports on the side. I have an older model like this so I know I like them. DP, HDMI, VGA all should be good enough for me.
