    Anyone want to offer advice on installing Windows 10 Tech Preview on a USB HDD on my Dell Venue 8 Pro with UEFI? I've had no luck.

    The tablet that I am trying to upgrade does not have DVD or USB option. It's a Dell Venue 8 Pro.

    Unable to Upgrade to Windows 10, even after success in compatibility report.

    CONTD...

    Tablet 1 (Dell Venue 8 pro) : Windows 10 installed

    Tablet 2 (Acer Iconia W500) : Windows 10 installation failed, automatically reverted back to windows 8 Pro.

    I am using Windows To Go, but I cannot figure out how to get any device to boot, even the recovery drive I made, due to UEFI, any tips?

    UEFI, hasn't been an issue for me. Not as far as Windows goes. I do just about everything from thumb drives these days. A better description of your issue would help. What your trying to do and what happens when you do it?
    My ASUS laptop has UEFI BIOS. I haven't had to change any BIOS settings to boot from my recovery drives, install thumb drives or my Windows To Go external drive. To boot from Windows 7 or say Linux drives, you'll likely have to turn secure boot off.
