Windows 10: Dell website has always given me windows 10 for optiplex but not today

I have a few Dell optiplex around and I have always installed windows 10 from dell on them but now today I go to the dell website and they are offering the install that came with the machine. ? Huh what why is it offering windows 8 for the optiplex now ? can I brows for a windows 10 ISO in some way can or can I just install with a windows 10 istall usb and will it see the product key on the dell motherboard ? maybe I will use the install media for the last dell optiplex I installed ? its just the other day I Activated a dell optiplex that had win7 key on the case and all was well.
Do we now have to pay to upgrade the dell optiplex to windows 10 ?

Dell Optiplex Clean Install of Windows 10

We have 20 new Dell Optiplex 7020s on the way with Windows 7 preloaded. I'd like to know the steps to perform a clean install of Windows 10.

How to Dump Networking Parameters?


Had a customer with this problem, they had a brand new Dell Optiplex 3050, with Windows 10 1709, and Realtek Gbit Family of lan adapters (wired connection). After much troubleshooting (many suggestions listed in the course of this thread), it turned out the PC needed a bios update. Among the updates listed on the dell website for bios version 1.52 (I flashed it with the latest 1.92) was "Update RealtekLOM".

LOM is "lan on motherboard" and the Realtek has flashable firmware.

One step for others having this issue is to check their computer manufacturer's website for "Lom" firmware updates for the particular network adapter - whether integrated or an add-in.
