Dell XPS 15 9570 - Can't hear Line In Audio

Greetings, Dell Community: Thanks for all your help in the past. I am again having an issue I resolved 2 years ago - I can't hear Line In Audio through the speakers on my laptop. I can see the meter moving fine. Specs: A)Dell XPS 15 9570; B)Running Win 10 Home 64-Bit Version 20H2; C)Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.21 GHz; D) RAM - 8.00 GB (7.74 GB usable) Basically, I have a Casio SA-76 feeding into the laptop through a patch cord doing a Line in via the Headphone Jack. Upon opening MaxxAudio Pro, I keep getting, "Recording Device Is not Available", but in the Sound Settings I can see the meter moving back and forth as I hit keys on the keyboard. Upon opening VEGAS PRO 16, and clicking, "Arm for Record", I can also see the audio meter moving, but still can't hear it on the speakers. I also do have Stereo Mix enabled under the sound settings. Looking forward to a solution as I'd like to record some music soon. Looking forward to hearing back. Thanks so much. Respectfully,

    :)

Not hearing Line In Audio in Windows 10 Home (DELL XPS 15 9570 Laptop)

Greetings, Windows 10 Community & Admins:

Here's my issue: just got a brand-new DELL XPS 15 9570 with Windows 10 HOME 64-bit. I'm using SONY VEGAS PRO 11 to record some original music via running a CASIO SA-76 keyboard into the combination headphone/line in jack by way of a patch cord. While I can see the meters in VEGAS registering the audio, I can't actually hear it in my ActivBuds S520 Bluetooth headphones. Also, in the MaxxAudioPro window, I keep seeing the, "Recording Device is not available" message, the audio cord button is greyed out, and there's no indication that the audio signal is registering there. How do I fix this? Do I need to uninstall MaxxAudioPro and use another audio software? I've downloaded and installed all required Windows updates (according to the system notifications window), as well as required drivers. The laptop is fine, as is the SONY VEGAS PRO editing software. Looking forward to hearing back as I need to create some music for a video project I'll be editing soon. Thank you so much.

    Respectfully,

Win 10 Home High DPC latency XPS 15 9570 ACPI.sys

    Hello,

I have a dell XPS 15 9570, and I have big issues with on board and external audio.

    HW Spec:

Dell XPS 15 9570, i7 8750H, 4K screen, 16g ram /512g ssd, qualcomm Killer wifi and then intel AC-9260, nVidia 1050 Ti with latest WHQL drivers, bios v1.2.2, all drivers to date as of 2018/15/07

    Symptoms:

    - audio cracks and pops with system audio when watching videos, listening to mp3/flac, playing games with built-in card,

    - audio cracks and pops with external ASIO soundcard (focusrite scarlett 18i8 2nd gen) when running pro DAW software with 256 samples buffer @48Khz or 512 buffer @96Khz

This can damage external speakers and makes the machine unusable for live audio or even standard multimedia use.

    What I did:

    - applied all tweaks recommended by my external audio card's manufacturer
    https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/207355205-Optimising-your-PC-for-Audio-on-Windows-10

    - ran LatencyMon and found that TCPIP.sys and ndis.sys were causing 4ms DPC latency spikes, followed by ACPI.sys 2ms and dxgkrnl.sys 1.7 ms

    - swapped the qualcom card for an intel AC-9260 which eliminated totally the TCPIP.sys and ndis.sys spikes

    - now ACPI.sys and dxgkrnl.sys are still causing 2ms DPC latency spikes

    - audio glitches are still present

    - disabled all peripherals except for keyboard, integrated graphics, trackpad, screen and storage (I disabled wifi, bluetooth, webcam, nvidia graphics, fingerprint reader, ACPI battery manager, cardreader, fall accelerometer, screen touch, etc.)

    - disabled Speed-Step/ SpeedShift and Turbo-Boost, disabled virtualisation support in the BIOS to try to minimize randomness in the behaviour

    - disabled fastboot

    - ACPI.sys latency is still culminating at 1.7ms and causing audio dropouts with either built-in or external USB asio interface

    - I've opened a support ticket over at dell with my premium support, the ticket was automatically closed a week later without anyone getting in touch with me.

I've run out of options and am looking for help.

This seems to be a pretty common issue with the windows 10 OS ( https://duckduckgo.com/?q=windows+10+DPC+latency+ACPI&t=canonical&atb=v102-3&ia=web)
ocurring on a variety of hardware, people who were fine with either win7 or win8.1 started to have ACPI.sys latency issues after upgrading to windows 10.

What kind of interrupt processing logic cannot take less than 1.7ms to run on a last-gen multi-GHz CPU ? Could be explained by the the crazy hard pagefault counter with ACPI.sys... Microsoft please fix this before I buy a Mac.

Dell XPS 9570 Touchpad not working

    Hi,

I have the new Dell XPS 9570. The touchpad was working fine but after some drivers got updated all gestures and precision tracking has stopped. Now only the left and right click works (no scrolling, no multi-gesture features etc).

Tried uninstalling the drivers and restarting etc. Where can I find the specific drivers for this touchpad?
